THE USJDP JUNIOR PREP CAMP IS MOVING TO ED ROBSON ARENA @ COLORADO COLLEGE!
After 20 years at the University of Denver, the USJDP is excited to announce that starting in 2024 we are moving the Junior Prep Camp to the Ed Robson Arena on the campus of Colorado College, home of the NCAA D1 Colorado College Tigers of the NCHC and the USA Hockey Selects 14 Festival.
The time has come for a fresh location for our program, and Robson Arena provides the opportunity for our players to train in a state-of-the-art facility, on a beautiful campus, and with access to exceptional campus dorms and dining. Robson Arena is the newest NCAA D1 Facillity in the country, and we believe this best aligns with our focus to provide our players with the opportunity to train like NCAA Division 1 athletes while getting closer to achieving their goals of playing Junior or College Hockey.
Same Great Camp - Same Skilled and Experienced Coaching Staff - New Location for Travel:
We know the overall player experience will be even better at this new location, and rest assured the camp structure and daily schedule will remain the same! But please note that traveling in for the camp will be a bit different.
Depending on your starting point, many cities/hubs offer direct flights into the newly upgraded Colorado Springs Airport (COS), which given the volume going thru DIA these days will be a much more enjoyable experience. If not direct, then a connection thru DIA into Colorado Springs is straight forward as well. Colorado Springs Airport is an 11-mile, 15 minute drive from the Colorado College campus. We will still meet all incoming players at their baggage claim per usual and provide transportation to/from campus.
Additional Location Details:
The players will be housed in South Hall, located directly across the street from Robson Arena, and will eat all their meals in the Worner Campus Center, one block from both Robson Arena, and South Hall.
All on-ice activities and our permanent locker rooms will take place in Robson Arena, and all off-ice activities will take place in one of the two Colorado College varsity weight rooms, located inside Robson Arena, as well as at the outdoor complex, located one block from Robson Arena and home to the Colorado College Tigers varsity soccer and track and field programs.
